Critical Information Summary
NBN Internet Services
Effective 20 July 2026
This summary gives you the key facts about our NBN internet plans. It is a summary only — our full Terms of Service apply.
Services are supplied by LMC IT Pty Ltd trading as Connext Internet, ABN 15 682 391 224.
1. Information about the service
The service
Connext supplies internet access over the National Broadband Network (NBN). The service is delivered using the access technology available at your address, which may be Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fibre to the Node (FTTN), Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) or another NBN technology type. We confirm the technology at your address before your order proceeds.
Availability
Our NBN plans are available only where NBN Co has declared the address serviceable. High speed plans are limited to certain technology types, as shown in the plan table below. A qualification result given before installation is an estimate and can change once work is carried out at your premises.
Minimum term
All plans are month-to-month. There is no minimum term beyond the first month, and no early termination charge.
Equipment
You need an NBN-ready modem/router that is not locked to another provider. FTTN and FTTB connections need a VDSL-compatible device. You may supply your own, or buy from us — our basic WiFi modem/router is $109 including free local delivery and setup in Broome. Modems purchased from Connext remain our property until the invoice is paid in full, and we may recover the device if it is not.
What you need to know
- Your NBN service will not work during a power outage. This affects any VoIP phone service, including calls to emergency services on 000. You should keep a charged mobile phone available.
- If you use a medical alarm, security alarm, lift phone or fire indicator panel, you are responsible for checking compatibility with the NBN with the equipment vendor before connecting, and for arranging backup communications if needed.
2. Information about pricing
Plans and monthly charges
| Plan | Maximum speed (download/upload) |
Typical evening speed (7pm–11pm) |
Monthly charge | Minimum term | Total minimum price | Available on |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NBN25 | 25/10 Mbps | 24 / 9 Mbps | $69/mth | 1 month | $69 | FTTN, FTTP, HFC |
| NBN50 | 50/20 Mbps | 47 / 18 Mbps | $89/mth | 1 month | $89 | FTTN, FTTP, HFC |
| NBN100 | 100/20 Mbps | 96 / 18 Mbps | $99/mth | 1 month | $99 | FTTN, FTTP, HFC |
| NBN500 | 500/50 Mbps | 487 / 48 Mbps | $99/mth | 1 month | $99 | FTTP |
The total minimum price is one month's charge, because there is no lock-in contract. It assumes you supply your own modem and that no NBN Co installation charges apply.
What's included
- Unlimited data on every plan, with no excess usage charges.
- No activation or setup fee.
- Local support from our Broome team.
Other charges that may apply
- New Development Fee — $300. Charged by NBN Co where your premises is in a new development area. We will tell you before your order is submitted if this applies to you.
- NBN Co charges. NBN Co may charge missed appointment fees, cancelled appointment fees, subsequent installation fees and no-fault-found fees. These are passed through to you at cost.
- Equipment. Modems and routers are charged separately, as above.
- Late or dishonoured payment — $10. We may charge this where a payment fails or an account falls overdue. In practice we rarely apply it, and we will contact you before we do.
Billing
Plans are billed monthly in advance on the 28th of each month. Your first invoice includes a pro-rata charge from your connection date to the start of the next billing period, plus the following month in advance. Payment is due by the date shown on the invoice, and services may be restricted or suspended if an account remains unpaid after we have given you notice.
Cancelling
You may cancel at any time. We ask for at least one week's notice before your renewal date. If you cancel or transfer your service to another provider part-way through a billing period, we do not credit or refund unused days in that period.
3. Other information
Speeds
The maximum speeds shown are the highest attainable under ideal conditions and are not guaranteed. Typical evening speeds are measured across our customer base between 7pm and 11pm and are subject to change. Your actual speed depends on your access technology, line condition, internal wiring, modem and WiFi equipment, the number of devices connected, network congestion, and the performance of servers and third-party networks beyond ours. Devices on WiFi are usually slower than devices connected by Ethernet cable.
For FTTN, FTTB and FTTC services we will tell you the maximum line speed we can achieve once you are connected. If your line cannot support the plan you ordered, you may move to a lower speed plan without penalty.
Usage information
All plans include unlimited data, so there are no usage charges to monitor. You can view your services and invoices at any time in the customer portal.
